The 14th Energy Storage International Conference and Expo (ESIE 2026) was held at the Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center, Beijing, from March 31 to April 3, 2026, where CRRC showcased a range of products, including its next-generation 6.9MWh liquid-cooled battery energy storage container, MW-class standalone flywheel energy storage system, and cabinet-style standalone flywheel system.
On the first day of the event, CRRC announced its latest Large-scale Fire Test Report. Witnessed by the third-party certification body SGS and conducted in accordance with the latest international standards, the test examined six levels of safety protection: cell-level early warning, pack-level fire suppression, container-level venting, active fire extinguishing, directional pressure relief, and container-level fire resistance and thermal insulation. Under extreme conditions, including a temperature of 1,443℃, 19 hours of continuous burning, and a spacing of 15cm between containers, the fire was successfully controlled within a single container. The temperature rise of cells in adjacent containers did not exceed 25℃, and the container structure remained intact without reignition or fire spread, demonstrating excellent safety performance.
At the event, CRRC also introduced a diversified portfolio of solutions, including high-voltage cascaded systems, DC-coupled systems, string-type solutions, long-duration energy storage, and integrated coordinated control solutions. In addition, tailored to diversified application scenarios, CRRC released customized “Energy Storage + Scenario” industry matrix solutions, injecting new momentum into the low-carbon development of the industry.
