Recently, domestically developed refrigeration units for railway reefer containers, developed by CRRC, were successfully deployed on China’s national railway cold chain transport trains, made their entry into the engineering application and verification phase.
In response to China’s demand for localized railway cold chain equipment, CRRC successfully overcame key technical bottlenecks, including those related to refrigeration unit controllers, achieving full independent control over the core components of the complete unit and its control system. Designed specifically for the complex operating conditions of China’s railway network, the products offer stable and reliable performance, enhanced information security, and shorter lead times for spare parts procurement and service response.
CRRC has extended its standards for high-speed train R&D and manufacturing into the cold chain equipment sector, and created a "smarter, more reliable, and greener" Chinese solution. Featuring advanced technologies such as variable-frequency scroll compressors and Enhanced Vapor Injection (EVI), and a new environmentally friendly refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just over 500, the system delivers a notably improved cooling capacity while significantly improving energy efficiency.
