On May 10, the "Take the Light Rail to the Game" Open Day was successfully held in Mexico City, welcoming students, football fans, content creators, and media representatives aboard the new light rail train developed by CRRC ZELC for Mexico City’s Light Rail Line 1. The event served as a platform for cultural exchange between China and Mexico.

The journey began at the Estadio Azteca station. Rodrigo Olvera, a CRRC ZELC engineer, introduced the trains advantages in energy efficiency, intelligent technology, passenger comfort, and adaptation to local operating conditions. Interactive Q&A sessions also helped passengers learn more about rail transit technology. Chinese and Mexican music filled the carriages, turning the train into a mobile venue for cultural exchange. Thanks to the train's smooth and stable ride, young Mexican football enthusiasts even showcased their ball-juggling skills on board. Participants praised the quiet and comfortable travel experience.

A coupled trainset can carry up to 750 passengers, helping increase transport capacity between Tasqueña and Xochimilco. With the new trains put into operation, the lines daily ridership is expected to increase from 110,000 to 250,000, while minimum service intervals will be reduced to 4 minutes.
