The 9th China-Eurasia Expo opened in Urumqi, Xinjiang on June 25. CRRC showcased its innovative achievements across the entire industrial chain at the expo, presenting over 30 core equipment products in three main areas: new energy equipment, rail transit equipment, and Zhuolun (Aizor) industrial AI model. At the same time, CRRC officially launched its serialized new energy locomotives, "Xuankun" (VELFORCE).
As the second addition to CRRC's "Xuan" product family, the Xuankun name draws from the Kunlun Mountains—a range spanning the China-Central Asia border—evoking rock-solid engineering and clean-energy reliability. VELFORCE merges velocity and power. The series covers 1,000kW to 2,000kW via three powertrains: diesel-battery hybrid, pure battery, and hydrogen fuel cell. It is designed to meet railway transportation needs across industries including steel, metallurgy, mining, electric power, coal, and ports.
The locomotives deliver five integrated strengths: safety, sustainability, efficiency, intelligence, and cost-effectiveness. Fail-safe architecture provides dual-level protection at both vehicle and component levels with real-time monitoring and automatic shutdown. Hybrid units cut annual emissions by 4 tonnes of pollutants and 374 tonnes of CO₂—equivalent to planting 34,000 trees—while battery and hydrogen variants achieve zero emissions. Intelligent features include AI voice interaction, one-button departure, active obstacle avoidance, precision stopping, and unmanned operation. Platform-based modular design supports flexible customization while extending maintenance intervals and reducing lifetime operating costs.
