On 5 Jan., 2017, first two type CDD3B1 passenger diesel locomotives for Nigeria rolled out in CRRC Dalian Co., Ltd. The locomotives will service on Abuja -- Kaduna railway line which is a first modern railway line adapted Chinese technology and standard.
The track gauge is 1,435 mm and the max. speed is 150 km/h. The locomotive has the strong ability against rainstorm, high humidity, dry and dusty, high temperature, etc.
Up to now, CRRC Dalian have supplied many locomotives to Africa, such as South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia, Congo, Angola, Ethiopia, etc.
