On 9 Nov. 2015, seven model CKD7B meter-gauge diesel locomotives for Myanmar rolled out in CRRC Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. Engineers were very careful to check and test electrical equipment and pipe lines to ensure quality. The locomotives will be shipped to Myanmar in the middle of November.
With max. speed of 100 km/h, the CKD7B will be used for freight haul on mainline. It is able to meet the mixed traction task on 40‰ slope gradient. The min. curve negotiation radius is 62m. The locomotive adopts three interchangeable 2 axis bogie and features strong ability on curve through, which is suitable for small curve, higher slope and poor road conditions. The locomotives are very suitable for Southeast Asian countries railway environment of high temperature, complex terrain and small rolling stock gauge.
