On November 9, the mainline freight diesel locomotives made by CRRC for export to Kazakhstan rolled off the line in Dalian. These locomotives mark an important achievement in the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” by China and Kazakhstan in the area of rail transit, and will support the upgrade and modernization of Kazakhstan’s railway system. In February this year, CRRC and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) signed a contract of 100 mainline diesel locomotives, and the rollout of the first batch is a milestone in deepening the cooperation between the two parties.
The locomotives are environmentally friendly and safe, and are China’s first high-power AC transmission mainline locomotives developed in compliance with the requirements of Eurasian Conformity (EAC) certification . With a maximum speed of 120km/h, these locomotives feature strong power, resistance to wind and sand, and adaptability to extreme cold. Their economic and emission indicators have reached the international advanced level. The vehicle control network adopts the two-level bus topolgy structure of “train-level + vehicle-level”, resulting in high communication bandwidth, low latency and fast response, which enables comprehensive control based on multi-source data.
