Sifang Institute has grasped historical opportunities of railway equipment modernization, and our core businesses have got into the market of high-speed EMU and high-power electric locomotives. Sifang Institute’s localized electrical system, anti-vibration products and coupler & buffer have integrated with international technologies and successfully participated in the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway project, of which the running speed is 380km/h，and thus Sifang Institute became an important supplier for high-end industrial chain of EMU in Chinese rail vehicle market.

Mainline railway business area

Sifang Institute’s electrical system, anti-vibration products, coupler & buffer and braking system etc. have been mounted on trains for each speed-raising project, and supplied successfully plateau oxygen supply system for Tibet passenger train and solved the safety problem of electrical equipment，and won the top national science and technology reward, that is, National S&T Progress Awards.

Urban rail transit business area

Sifang Institute has mastered the self-reliance key technologies, breaking the long-term monopoly by foreign companies, and become an important international competitive supplier. Such technologies of Sifang Institute as train network control system, PIS and integrated electric control cabinet and other technologies for high-speed EMU have been successfully applied on the urban rail vehicles, and improved the technology level of electrical system of urban rail vehicles accordingly. Sifang Institute continuously carried out the R&D on the series products of electrical system, coupler & buffer, anti-vibration products and braking system etc. and the corresponding market share was expanded gradually. Sifang Institute took the responsible for the establishment of standards of coupler & buffer, air spring for Chinese urban rail vehicles, and has gained a position in the international market as an important supplier.

Sifang Institute has expanded the relative multi-business market relies on the core technologies and has entered into the areas of automotive anti-vibration and engineering anti-vibration and other business areas. For the automotive anti-vibration market, Sifang Institute has successively developed the series air springs for passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, cab suspension and driver seat, and series anti-vibration rubber parts. For the engineering anti-vibration market, Sifang Institute has successively developed the series rail anti-vibration rubber parts such as railway switch vibration absorber, fastening rubber tie plate for fastener of railroad tie, resilient steel pad and vulcanized slide plate and other products. 

Overseas business area

In recent years, Sifang Institute kept accelerating the space towards the market, our anti-vibration system and coupler & buffer have been successively entered into overseas market. The air springs for rail vehicles and automobiles have been exported to Europe, America, Africa, Oceania, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions. Coupler & buffer series products have been sold to Africa, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
