As the core subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Limited, CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRRC Sifang") is a core R&D base of high-speed trains in China, a manufacturer of intercity & regional and urban rail transit vehicles and an important export base of China’s rail transit equipment.
CRRC Sifang has established an integral system for independent development, large-scale manufacturing, and quality services in rail transit equipment sector. As a national high-tech enterprise, CRRC Sifang has set up ten national R&D and test institutions, including the National Engineering Technology Research Center for High-speed EMU Final Assembly, the National Engineering Research Center for System Integration of Rolling Stock, the State Key Laboratory of High-speed Maglev Transportation Technology, the National R&D Center, the National Industrial Design Center, the National High-speed Train Industry Metrology and Testing Center and the Postdoctoral Scientific Research Workstation, and has established overseas R&D centers in Germany, the United Kingdom and Thailand. With industry-leading simulation analysis platforms, testing and verification platforms, highly skilled R&D teams covering a full spectrum of disciplines, and an open system for technological innovation involving industry, academia, research, and application, CRRC Sifang has forged strong technological innovation capabilities. Spanning an area of 1.77 million m2, the Company operates a sophisticated, highly specialized, and large-scale manufacturing base equipped with advanced technologies. It has established eight product platforms including high-speed EMUs, high-speed Maglev trains, intercity & regional EMUs, metro vehicles, modern trams, monorail vehicles, top-grade passenger coaches and DMUs, placing its manufacturing capabilities at the forefront worldwide.
CRRC Sifang holds an industry-leading position in the R&D and manufacturing of high-speed EMUs, intercity & regional EMUs and urban rail vehicles. CRRC Sifang has developed China's first 200 km/h high-speed EMU, the first 300 km/h high-speed EMU, the first 380 km/h high-speed EMU, the first "Fuxing" EMU, the first exported high-speed EMU, the first intercity & regional EMU and the first Chinese standard metro train. Currently, CRRC Sifang has developed a serialized product portfolio covering high-speed EMUs and intercity & regional EMUs, offering various speed levels tailored to diverse operational requirements. The CRH380A high-speed EMU, independently developed by CRRC Sifang, has set a world speed record of 486.1 km/h in running test for service. The "Fuxing" CR400AF EMU, developed by CRRC Sifang, has achieved a commercial operating speed of 350 km/h, establishing China as the world leader in high-speed rail operating speeds. The EMUs designed and manufactured for Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway represent a historic milestone for China's high-speed EMUs entering the global market. CRRC Sifang has successfully developed the prototype of CR450AF EMU, the world's fastest EMU designed for 400 km/h service. It also led the development of the high-speed maglev transportation system with a speed of 600 km/h, which has successfully rolled off production line. It offers a full range of urban rail transit vehicle products and customized solutions for customers.
CRRC Sifang's rail transit equipment products have been exported to more than 30 countries and regions worldwide while serving domestic market needs.
