On 1st of July, Nanjing-Hangzhou-Ningbo High-speed Rail was officially put into operation. Among 61 EMUs on operation on the line, 44 EMUs were researched and manufactured by CSR Corporation Limited (CSR), accounting for 72% of total operation volume. Among 44 EMUs, 28 EMUs were from CSR Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., one of the subsidiaries of CSR and 16 EMUs were from Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation Ltd., another subsidiary of CSR.
It is known that this newly operated high-speed rail connects Nanjing, Hangzhou and Ningbo. It is the passenger transport network of national high-speed rail and Yangtze River Delta high-speed rail in planned construction, connecting Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway and Beijing-Shanghai Railway and passing through coastal passages of Nanjing, Taizhou, Wenzhou and Fujian with features of many cross-line trains and high departure rate. The EMUs put into operation this time including different speeds and various formations ranging from 200km/h-250km/h, 300km/h-350km/h and 380km/h etc.
