On August 23 local time, the ETS3 EMU developed by CRRC departed from Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, marking its entry into service in Malaysia. At the ceremony held at the station, representatives from multiple sectors witnessed the official launch of ETS3 EMU.
The ETS3 service is scheduled to commence commercial operations on August 30. To ensure efficient service, CRRC has formulated a specialized support plan. Once in service, travel between Kuala Lumpur and Johor will become more convenient, playing an important role in promoting economic and social development along the route and enhancing regional connectivity.
The ETS3 train offers excellent acceleration performance, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and reliable operation. Equipped with a high-capacity backup battery, it can maintain the emergency lighting and ventilation systems for up to two hours without the overhead power supply, demonstrating the design philosophy of "safe, smart, and green."
