Recently, the first urban rail express train for Chongqing Metro Line 15 rolled off the production line at CRRC Changchun. It boasts a maximum passenger capacity of 2,428 people per trainset, as well as a smart, low-carbon design and a remarkable climbing capacity specifically engineered for the mountainous terrain in the local place, all demonstrating CRRC's craftsmanship and technological advancements.

Its flexible formation design allows for the configuration of either four-car or six-car sets based on passenger demand, thus optimizing transport efficiency and greatly reducing operational costs. It delivers a maximum passenger capacity of 2,428 people per train. In addition, it supports cross-line operation with Chongqing Bitong Line and Line 27, effectively reducing spare parts inventory and maintenance cost through interconnectivity.

The train is specially designed for Chongqing's mountainous terrain, featuring a climbing capability of 50‰, which allows it to easily navigate complex landscapes.

In alignment with green mobility initiatives, the train is equipped with lithium titanate batteries, significantly reducing energy consumption while enabling zero-emission operation, fast charging, and an extended battery lifespan. Furthermore, its lightweight design, along with advanced technologies such as a high-frequency auxiliary inverter, integrated traction system, and composite flooring, contributes to a weight reduction of approximately 2 tons per car compared to similar models.

Beyond highlighting CRRC Changchun's expertise in urban rail innovation, this new train injects fresh momentum into Chongqing's rail transit network, further enhancing the convenience and efficiency of urban transportation.
