Three major fundamental business sectors of the company are: maintenance of existing locomotives, maintenance of HX locomotives and manufacture of construction machinery and key large components.
Maintenance of existing locomotives
Electric locomotive:
On September 23, 2002, the company successfully maintained the first set of electric locomotive SS3-0143, marking the company’s maintenance capacity entering the era of electric locomotives. The company’s maintenance types have covered SS3, SS3G, SS4, SS6B, SS7, SS8, SS9 and SS9G electric locomotives during the period of over a decade. It has become the electric locomotive maintenance base enterprise covering the most locomotive types for maintenance and with the widest distribution of users in China.
Diesel locomotive:
On September 23, 1985, the company successfully maintained the first set of diesel locomotive BJ-3142, marking the company’s maintenance capacity entering the era of diesel locomotives. The company’s maintenance types have covered DF4, DF5, DF7, DF8B, DF4DD, DF4B, DF4D, DF4DF, DF5B, DF7C, DF7G, DF10D, DF12, GKD3 and GK1C diesel locomotives after nearly three decades of development. It has become the diesel locomotive maintenance base enterprise covering the most locomotive types for maintenance and with the widest distribution of users in China.
Maintenance of HX locomotives
We follow four fundamental principles for construction of HX locomotive 2-year maintenance platform: Integration of manufacturing and maintenance enterprises under CRRC, Zero-difference between maintenance and original manufacturing technology, Sustainability of best service state of locomotive, and all-coverage of maintenance platform construction concept. The company forms a close-knit integrated manufacturing and maintenance alliance with CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. to implement 13 principles including transfer of technologies, transfer of assembly process, transfer of quality control system, sharing of purchasing platform, personnel training, site guidance, technical management, operation service, collaboration with foreign suppliers, transfer of project management modes, specialized maintenance of key components and parts, study on maintenance technologies and technical quality feedback so as to propel integration of manufacturing and maintenance. 174 sets of locomotives (220 set-units) including HXD1, HXD1B, HXD1C series were maintained in 2012, increasing by 119 sets over the same period of last year. Currently the company has an annual maintenance capacity of 300 set-units.
Manufacture of construction machinery and key large components
The company’s objective is to create the best complete construction machinery solution provider base in the world. The company possesses the comprehensive capacity of product R&D, product manufacturing, product integration and production service. Its main products include metro rail detectors, track inspectors, comprehensive inspectors, heavy track machines, tunnel flushing machines, engineering operation machines, heavy tractors, engineering tractors, suspension arm flatcars, electric locomotives, ballastless track construction equipment, girder carriers, girder-erecting machines, girder cranes, slab spreaders, segment erector and screw conveyer among the supporting equipment of TBM. The company is an emerging enterprise of manufacturing complete railway engineering machinery and related large components.
