On November 9, the three-day and fruitful 2025 China International Rail Transit and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Expo concluded successfully in Zhuzhou, Hunan.

As the first national-level international professional exhibition in China's rail transit field, this year's Rail Expo, themed "Rail Connecting the World, Maglev Connecting the Future", has an exhibition area of nearly 40,000 square meters. It adopts a "indoor + outdoor" dual-exhibition area linkage, covering the entire industrial chain from equipment manufacturing and key components to intelligent systems and operation and maintenance. CRRC, one of the leading domestic rail transit equipment companies, was invited to participate.

The outdoor exhibition area is a highlight of this expo, featuring 7 rail transit equipment products with new technologies.

Among them, the CN10A-C battery-powered new energy locomotive independently developed by CRRC Ziyang became the focus, attracting many guests to stop, communicate or take photos. A guest said, "Pure electric drive not only improves the working environment for drivers and passengers, but also helps reduce noise in the work area." Another guest praised its flexible configuration, saying, "It's so convenient to choose the battery capacity like ordering from a menu!"
This locomotive is developed by CRRC Ziyang in response to the national 'dual carbon' strategy, based on the concepts of platformization, serialization and modularization. It boasts advantages such as safety, reliability, environmental friendliness, high efficiency and intelligence, and can be widely used in various scenarios like steel metallurgy, petrochemical, mines and ports.

The locomotive integrates "zero emission, low noise, high efficiency, long endurance, and intelligence". It offers a series of battery capacity configurations ranging from 600 kWh to 1500 kWh, allowing users to make flexible "menu-style" selections based on actual needs. Equipped with an intelligent battery system, it operates safely and reliably. By combining intelligent operation and maintenance with digital technology, it achieves efficient management throughout the entire life cycle.
As the pioneer of new-energy locomotives in China, CRRC Ziyang has built a new-energy locomotive platform pedigree covering "internal combustion engine+power battery", "power battery", and "hydrogen fuel cell", and has obtained 103 authorized patents. The company also took the lead in participating in the formulation of six standard technical documents of the National Railway Group. The successful debut of the CN10A-C locomotive not only showcases the solid progress of China's rail transit equipment in green transformation but also serves as a shining green-innovation business card for China's rail transit equipment to respond to the "dual carbon" strategy and go global.
