On the afternoon of February 24, Bolivian President Luis Arce visited Santa Cruz to inaugurate the self-supplied power plant for the Mutún Steel Complex, a project undertaken by CRRC Ziyang. He extended warm congratulations on the successful power generation and full delivery of the project.

The Mutún Steel Complex marks the first capacity cooperation initiative between China and Bolivia, representing a significant milestone in Bolivia's industrialization journey.

CRRC Ziyang's self-generation power plant is the sole electricity source for theMutún Steel Complex. During construction, CRRC Ziyang was responsible for supplying natural gas internal combustion engine units, designing and supplying auxiliary systems, and overseeing the installation and commissioning of the power station.

The power plant features 10 gas generator sets operating in an isolated grid mode, with an output voltage of 11kV, a frequency of 50Hz, and a total installed capacity of 103MW, ensuring continuous and stable energy supply for the steel mill.

As a leading enterprise in exporting China's internal combustion engine products and a pioneer in developing new energy and next-generation locomotives, CRRC Ziyang also boasts strong R&D and manufacturing capabilities for internal combustion generators and generator sets. Leveraging this advantage, CRRC Ziyang has successfully mastered key core technologies, including the system integration of oil and gas power stations.

To date, CRRC Ziyang has undertaken power plant and substation projects for over 20 countries, including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, providing reliable energy solutions to support local economic growth and improve living standards.
