CKD6E5000 hybrid locomotive is AC transmission shunting locomotive for standard gauge railway. The locomotive adopts the structure of single driver cab and outside corridor. The power system consists of diesel engine generator set and high-power battery pack. The maximum operating power is 1000KW and the maximum running speed is 80 km/h. For shunting operations, the locomotive may be powered by the diesel generator set, by the storage battery pack, or by a combination of both, which embodies the design concept of energy saving and emission reduction, has the advanced international level, and is especially suitable for shunting operation of railway stations, yards (sections), subways, factories, mines, ports and other internal railways.
