On October 24, TMT received its first full-scope carbon emission verification certificate issued by Bureau Veritas. This certificate marks the company’s achievement in having its carbon emission data accounting, monitoring, and carbon management system recognized by industry authorities, laying a solid foundation for achieving the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
Bureau Veritas (BV), founded in 1828, is a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services. It operates in nearly 140 countries and regions worldwide and has over 1,600 branches across the globe.
In response to global climate change and to achieve sustainable development goals, TMT has made green and low-carbon development a key strategy. The company has been advancing its dual-carbon initiatives in a systematic and comprehensive manner. After a year of investigation and verification, and with guidance from the Chongqing University team, TMT completed the full-scope, multi-level carbon emission verification for its organization, as well as carbon verification for three typical products (air springs, rubber-metal components, and torsion bars), successfully obtaining the carbon emission verification certificate from Bureau Veritas.
In the future, TMT will place even greater emphasis on green and low-carbon transformation and sustainable development, actively promoting innovation and application of low-carbon technologies. In addressing climate change, the company will continuously improve its carbon management system, optimize energy-saving and carbon-reducing measures, and strengthen efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, driving both economic and environmental wins.
