Recently, the Suixi Jianghong Lemin 100 MW Wind Power Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Suixi Project") completed the installation of the first 185-meter hybrid tower wind turbine, with the hub height equivalent to that of a 60-story building. This not only sets a new record for the highest land-based wind turbine tower globally, but it is also the world's first ultra-high tower wind power project designed for typhoon-prone regions.
The total installed capacity of the Suixi Project is 100 MW, consisting of 22 units, all of which use TMT' customized, typhoon-resistant wind turbine blades.
The turbine adopts a prestressed concrete tower and steel hybrid tower system. The lower portion of the tower is a prestressed concrete structure 85 meters tall, while the upper portion is a steel tower standing at 97 meters. The blades are 95 meters long, with a rotor diameter of 195 meters, and a swept area equivalent to 4.2 standard football fields. Each turbine generates approximately 8.6 kWh of electricity per rotation. The entire project is expected to generate up to 320 million kWh annually.
In terms of application strategy, the wind turbine blades are specially optimized for the typhoon-prone environment, ensuring stable operation under changing wind speeds and directions, while effectively protecting the turbines during typhoon events.
