As the cradle of China locomotive &rolling stock industry, CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd. is the birthplace of China rail transit equipment manufacturing industry. Having gone through 3 centuries of difficulties and hardships, from Westernization Move at late Qing Dynasty to modernized China, the company brought many Chinese firsts, witnessed the development of railway transportation and promoted the progress of China’s industrialization.

One hundred and thirty years ago, our predecessors stood at the mouth of Old River, holding high the flag of saving the country by industry, devoting themselves to Westernization Move, adopting the ideal of saving the country by industry and opening the new chapter of China Railway Equipment Manufacturing Industry by drawing on the technologies of foreign countries. Producing successively the first Chinese steam train and first passenger train, the company is progressing ahead of the times with the heroic spirit.

After the establishment of new China, in order to serve the country, the self-confident and persevering working staff of CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd. developed and manufactured the first rail inspection train, the first double-deck EMU, first automotive official train, first pendulous passenger train, first 70% low-floor urban rail train. They shouldered their social responsibility while boosting industrialization.

In 2005, CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd. cooperated with Siemens Company. Bearing in mind the national historical mission of independent innovation, we devote to practicing “introduction of advanced technology, joint design and production, creating the Chinese brand”. Finally, we have managed to get on the high-end technology platform of high speed EMUs, independently developed high speed EMUs in a speed of 350 kilometers per hour and 380 miles (kilometers) per hour, built the culture quality of preciseness, carefulness, dedication and cooperation, created a “China Card”, won a reputation of “National Backbone”, thus completely remolding CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd. with a history of a century. The company in innovation and development stands towering like a giant at the forefront of the rail equipment manufacturing industry.

Today, the working staff of CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd., striving constantly for self-improvement and feeling grateful to China, put forward a strategic conception of becoming a green, intelligent and people-centered transportation solution provider according to requirement for sustainable development in the national “12th Five-Year Plan”.
