Malaysias Head of State Personally Pilots ETS3 EMU

  On August 23 (local time), Malaysia's Supreme Head of State Ibrahim personally piloted the inaugural ETS3 meter-gauge EMU train, developed by CRRC ZELC, from Kuala Lumpur Station to Kluang, Johor. The entire journey took approximately three and a half hours. This not only marks the imminent commercial operation of the ETS3 EMU but also stands as a significant testament to the deepening friendship between China and Malaysia.

  At the launch ceremony held at Kuala Lumpur Station, Malaysia's Supreme Head of State Ibrahim, Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook, the Chief Secretary to the Government, and representatives from various sectors jointly witnessed the official commissioning of the ETS3 EMU. Subsequently, Ibrahim entered the driver's cab and personally piloted the train along the southern Malaysian railway, injecting new momentum into the modernization of Malaysia's rail transit system.

  The ETS3 southern electrified rail service is expected to commence commercial operations on August 30 this year. To ensure efficient train operations, CRRC ZELC has formulated a specialized support plan.
