On the afternoon of March 24, Minister of Malaysian Transport Loke Siew Fook, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) Group CEO Mohd Rani Hisham Sarbini, and Railway Assets Corporation (RAC) CEO Azhar Azizan Harun took the SCS intercity EMU at Padang Besar Station to conduct an on-site inspection of the intercity commuter train services.
During the inspection, Minister Loke Siew Fook warmly engaged in cordial conversations with passengers, carefully listened to their feedback and suggestions regarding the SCS intercity EMU services, and emphasized the crucial role of the EMU in enhancing public transportation accessibility and convenience. He stated that the Malaysian government will implement further measures to continuously optimize KTMB's commuter services in Northern Malaysia, ensuring better alignment with passenger needs.
