A few days ago, the 300-ton deeply localized CR330E electric drive mine dump truck developed by the company successfully completed the routine test in the factory and went to East Open-pit Mine of China Coal Pingshuo Coal Co., Ltd. for industrial test. This indicates that the company has made a breakthrough in the localization of large tonnage mine trucks.

After the CR330E mine truck project started, the main leaders of the company held project coordination meetings for many times, and led teams to conduct research and exchange in ANSTEEL Group, Shenhua Group, China Coal Pingshuo Coal Co., Ltd. and other enterprises, which reached consensus on deep cooperation with many enterprises, and signed strategic cooperation agreements. The above all laid a solid foundation for obtaining market orders.
CR330E mine truck, with a rated load of 300 tons, a stacking capacity of 210 cubic meters and a maximum speed of 58 km/h, has the characteristics of low fuel consumption, high reliability and strong plateau adaptability. With a localization rate of 94%, it can widely meet the transportation needs of various complex working conditions such as large-scale open-pit mining and key water conservancy and hydropower projects.

Under the leadership of the leaders in charge, the Mine Truck Research Office of the Institute put forward the 12-character policy of “stimulating R&D potential and standardizing design output” in English. The company translated the mature rail transit technology to the mine truck product design and built a domestic mine dump truck design platform. Alongside that, the company led other units in the group to complete the design of key components of CR330E mine car in a quick manner, completed the construction of mine car supplier system, which made a good start for the work of technology, manufacturing, materials and other departments.
“Autonomy and Localization” are the “soul” of CR330E mine truck research and development. The driver’s cab display control program designed by DHTE is written in C++ language, and the MCU controller is written in assembly language, which is inconvenient to change and read. Faced those difficulties, the electrical engineers of the R&D team actively compared hardware suppliers, put forward graphical display scheme and control logic, and finally completed localization loading in a quick manner.
Most of the cabs of other mine trucks in China rely on outsourcing, which is expensive and has a long cycle. In our company, two young designers of the R&D team took the initiative to “reveal the list” and made in-depth analysis and careful demonstration from the perspectives of aesthetics and ergonomics. In the end, they took only one and a half months to design a brand-new cab that meets the requirements of ergonomics.
In terms of echelon construction, we strive to build a design team with complete specialties and reasonable levels, which can quickly respond to the needs of high and low-end markets at home and abroad. At the end of the “14th Five-Year Plan”, the mine truck spectrum structure was completed and a competitive mine truck spectrum was formed.

“When we work with one heart and one mind, no task will be impossible and no difficulty insurmountable.” There is only one belief in everyone’s heart. During the crucial stage of mine truck trial production, all relevant units of the company transferred backbone forces and set up special research teams. Members of various functional departments and offices took turns to change shifts and served at the production site 24 hours a day. Some units set up vanguard of party members to carry forward the spirit of charging ahead at critical moments. In the face of all kinds of abnormal problems and difficulties in the production process, everyone was not discouraged and took the initiative to break through.
The production cycle of CR330E mine truck forging castings is long. In order to ensure normal off-line, the technologist divided the forging castings into two categories: self-made and purchased, and went to the supplier’s production site for many times to provide technical support and promote the casting production progress together, thus winning valuable time for the trial production task. After technical analysis, 14 kinds of castings were selected to be produced by foundry factory and 19 kinds of forgings were produced by forging company, which overcame the technological problems, such as difficult control of smelting composition and unstable performance after heat treatment of A487-4B material. After strong efforts of 3 months, the self-made task of forging castings was successfully completed.
The process development team combined with the three-dimensional model in advance to reasonably design the cable routing path on the mine truck. The operators in the locomotive electrical workshop climbed up and down, installed equipment, carefully smoothed the wire, firmly bound and correctly wired, which not only ensured the product performance, but also improved the appearance quality. In the end, like more than 1,400 cables of human blood vessels, they are distributed in various parts of the mine truck neatly and beautifully, providing “blood” for various parts.
Long as the journey is, we will reach our destination if we stay the course; difficult as the task is, we will get the job done if we keep working at it. For more than two months in a row, everyone fought day and night, which was a bit too much for them, but none of them flinched. We cheered each other up and worked together to tackle hard tasks.
