Pingshuo East Open-pit Mine is located at 39.5 degrees north latitude and 112.2 degrees east longitude, with an altitude of 1,300 meters. In the cold winter, the north wind blows hard and drips into ice. In great contrast to the winter, the deeply localized mine trucks designed and manufactured by the company run day and night constantly, with a daily transportation volume exceeding 8,000 tons. Up to now, the cumulative transportation volume has reached 368,000 tons.
East Open-pit Mine of China Coal Pingshuo Coal Co., Ltd. has an annual output of 25 million tons of coal. In the case of shortage of coal supply, it shoulders the responsibility of supplying coal to the three eastern provinces, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other places, and ensuring the people to warm up for the winter. Its joint operation mode of “electric shovel → mine dump truck” represents the most advanced open-pit mining technology in the world, and is a desirable destination for mine dump truck enterprises as well.
Since CR330E mine dump truck was put into industrial test in Pingshuo East Open-pit Mine of China Coal at the end of October last year, it has been fully loaded to and from the operation site in three shifts every day, running 24 hours a day. The R&D and design personnel of the research institute of the company participated in the industrial test of CR330E mine dump truck. During that period, the thermal balance test of diesel engine, self-load test, installation of container stone discharging tools, lamp holders, truck dispatching system, anti-collision system and wiring of corresponding systems, replacement of far/near lights and other rectification projects of East Open-pit Mine were successively completed. Additionally, the company has prepared mine truck operation manual, spot inspection manual and maintenance manual, and train drivers and maintenance personnel three times. Furthermore, the scheme design of installing diesel engine preheating device was completed, and CR330E rescue tooling drawings, driver’s cab spare cable and other drawings and documents were output according to schedule.
Whenever the mine truck returned to the maintenance base, the on-site designers would carefully check whether there was any abnormality in every detail of the mine truck, even as small as the loosening of a screw. With the close cooperation of R&D designers and on-site maintenance personnel, as well as the problems encountered in the test site solved one by one, the functions of CR330E mine dump truck tend to be more perfect. Along with that, the performance of the truck was further improved, and it has won the trust of users.
Through a series of industrial tests under severe cold conditions, the design concept, key technologies and comprehensive level of the whole vehicle have been preliminarily verified. The performance indexes of CR330E mine dump truck were good as usual, and the tests have achieved the expected results, laying a good foundation for the future hybrid and unmanned design. Meanwhile, the company has expanded the mine truck maintenance knowledge of after-sales personnel, improved the after-sales level of the company and trained a group of mine car talents, that was how the company prepared for the company to explore the market in severe cold areas.
