On May 10, during China Brand Day, the Department of Industrial Development of the National Development and Reform Commission, together with the Department of Industrial Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, organized the “Travel with Brands” initiative. Based on principles including strong brand reputation, distinctive brand value, rich visitor experience, regional balance, and industry representation, the first group of 30 brand experience destinations was selected. As a representative manufacturing enterprise from Jilin Province, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. was included in the first list, demonstrating its mission and responsibility in supporting national development through major advanced equipment.

CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles is a core subsidiary of CRRC. Formerly known as Changchun Passenger Railway Vehicle Factory, it was founded in 1954 and was one of the key projects developed during China’s First Five-Year Plan period. It is known as the cradle of China’s metro trains, electric multiple units, and maglev trains, and serves as one of China’s core bases for the research and development, manufacturing, maintenance, and export of rail passenger vehicles.
The company has established a “six-in-one” technology innovation platform, including the National Engineering Research Center for Rail Passenger Vehicle System Integration, an academician workstation, and a national master craftsman studio. It has built a globally coordinated R&D system and developed nine major product platforms, covering high-speed EMUs, premium passenger coaches, intercity trains, suburban trains, metro trains, maglev trains, and other product categories, with 30 main product types. The company has also independently developed a series of products, including the “Harmony” and “Fuxing” trains.
Over more than 70 years of development, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles has witnessed China’s historic transformation in rail transit equipment from catching up to taking the lead in the industry. The company has also been recognized as China’s only national-level public education base themed around high-speed rail, further reinforcing its role in industrial education, public engagement, and brand communication.
Building on this base, the company has continued to upgrade its exhibition content, expand visitor experiences, and improve public access. Through themed events, corporate open days, media open days, and other formats, it has further strengthened its brand influence and encouraged employees and the public to deepen their appreciation for the Party and the country.
The “Travel with Brands” initiative opens a new window for the public to better understand Chinese brands. The development of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles as a brand experience destination is a concrete practice by CRRC in actively responding to the call to cultivate “China Service” brands and advance brand building and communication.
