On December 22-23, 2025, the Conference of Heads of Central SOEs was held in Beijing. The meeting conveyed key guidance on the work of central SOEs. On January 16, People’s Daily interviewed six heads of central SOEs, including Sun Yongcai, Party Secretary and Chairman of CRRC.
CR450 EMU to Enter Comprehensive Operational Evaluation
In 2026, under the coordinated organization of China State Railway Group, the CR450 EMU prototype developed by CRRC will undergo comprehensive operational evaluation and design optimization, marking the transition of 400 km/h high-speed rail system technology toward practical application. As the world’s fastest high-speed train, the CR450 offers enhanced performance in safety, energy efficiency, and passenger comfort.
Beyond the CR450, CRRC will also advance operational evaluation of 200 km/h electric power-distributed trainsets and 160 km/h diesel power-distributed trainsets, development and pilot application of Standard Metro 2.0 vehicles, and completion of testing and final design optimization for the 20-megawatt offshore wind turbine known as “Qihang”.
