The second “AI Empowering Industry · Digital Intelligence Shaping the Future” Industrial Artificial Intelligence Forum, hosted by CRRC, was held in Beijing on December 19, 2025.
At the forum, CRRC officially launched the Central State-Owned Enterprises Advanced Manufacturing (Rail Transit Equipment) Artificial Intelligence Industry Consortium. CRRC also signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Institute of Industrial Artificial Intelligence, Chinese Academy of Sciences and jointly established the Industrial AI Joint Laboratory for High-End Equipment Manufacturing.
Senior representatives from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the National Railway Administration, CRRC, and China Telecom attended the forum. Participants also included representatives from research institutes, universities, railway operators, and upstream and downstream industrial partners.

Sun Yongcai, Chairman of CRRC, noted that over the past year, CRRC has focused on the “Five Highs and Five Integrations” objectives, advancing the deep integration of artificial intelligence across the full life cycle of high-end equipment manufacturing. This has resulted in a number of replicable and scalable benchmark application scenarios. Looking ahead, CRRC will work closely with ecosystem partners to address core technological challenges, build open and collaborative platforms, and share high-quality data resources, accelerating the development of industrial AI innovation, application, and industrialization hubs.
Ke Ruiven, Chairman of China Telecom, highlighted that since the first forum, the two companies have deepened cooperation in areas including computing infrastructure, industry large models, and data governance, delivering tangible outcomes. China Telecom will continue to support CRRC’s digital transformation and intelligent upgrading through integrated cloud-network-intelligence-security solutions, jointly advancing the “AI + Advanced Manufacturing” agenda.

The newly launched consortium brings together CRRC, China Telecom, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Institute of Industrial Artificial Intelligence, leading industrial enterprises, railway operators, and multiple universities. Guided by a “one objective plus three supporting systems” framework, the consortium will focus on scenario openness, data sharing, standards co-development, and joint talent cultivation, forming a scalable central SOE model for “AI + Advanced Manufacturing”.
At the forum, CRRC and the CAS institute formally unveiled the Industrial AI Joint Laboratory for High-End Equipment Manufacturing, which will conduct collaborative research in areas including industrial AI fundamentals, core algorithms, intelligent software, and testing and validation, accelerating the transformation of scientific research achievements into real-world productivity.
Senior technical leaders from CRRC headquarters and its key subsidiaries also attended the forum.
