To further implement China’s rural revitalization and agricultural development strategy, and to fulfill its corporate social responsibility as a central SOE, CRRC Chairman Sun Yongcai visited Tianshui City in Gansu Province in July. The visit focused on CRRC’s long-term support programs in Maiji District and Gangu County. He was joined by senior executives and representatives from CRRC headquarter and the Lanzhou subsidiary.
In Maiji District, Sun visited Tianshui No.10 Middle School to learn about its lab facilities and science education programs. He encouraged students to actively engage in hands-on learning, develop scientific thinking, and pursue their dreams and contribute to society in their own way. . Students expressed their appreciation with handwritten cards to CRRC.
Sun visited the Agricultural Demonstration Park in Miguchuan Village, Gangu County and was briefed on CRRC’s rural revitalization initiatives in the region. He emphasized the importance of optimizing agricultural structures, developing modern specialty farming, and promoting industrial transformation to boost farmers’ income. He also called for the integration of CRRC’s digital platforms to enhance rural development through smart, data-driven solutions.
At a joint working session with local officials, CRRC announced a donation of RMB 1 million to each district to fund new industrial initiatives. The company also formalized the transition of its on-site support personnel and reaffirmed its commitment to long-term collaboration with local governments.
Local authorities shared progress in aligning poverty alleviation outcomes with rural revitalization. CRRC’s newly assigned support staff also outlined their goals for the next phase.
Sun praised the significant progress in both Maiji and Gangu reaffirmed CRRC’s commitment to supporting local development through education, industry, livelihoods, digitalization, talent training, and community engagement, aiming to make tangible contributions to local economic growth and the well-being of residents.
During the visit, Sun also visited families who had benefited from earlier poverty alleviation efforts, offering financial support and warm wishes.
