On May 11, CRRC’s first high-altitude wind turbine built in Qinghai officially rolled off the production line at the newly launched Delingha New Energy Equipment Industrial Park. This marks a major step toward establishing China’s largest and most integrated “wind–solar–storage–hydrogen” clean energy base in the western region—achieving the milestone of clean energy equipment being produced, used, and sourced entirely in Qinghai.

Designed for extreme plateau conditions, the wind turbine and 5.XMWh energy storage system reflect CRRC’s strong R&D capabilities in adapting to complex environments. Phase I of the park includes manufacturing facilities for storage systems and wind turbines, with plans to expand into blades, towers, and electrical equipment.

At the launch, CRRC signed joint cooperation initiatives with State Grid, China Energy, Huaneng, SPIC, CNPC, and other key energy enterprises, as well as over ten local supply chain companies, committing to accelerate clean energy equipment manufacturing and build a national-level industrial hub. Additional initiatives include a student outreach program with Delingha Education Bureau to bring local youth to CRRC’s clean energy and rail tech sites and a partnership with local tourism firms to promote Delingha’s organic agricultural products via CRRC’s e-commerce channels.

CRRC also unveiled its Green Power Space at the Qinghai Clean Energy Utilization Exhibition Hall, showcasing integrated transport-energy solutions and China’s first hydrogen urban train simulator.

Building on this momentum, CRRC will continue leveraging its full-industry-chain solutions and integrated “generation–grid–load–storage” capabilities to support Qinghai’s rise as a clean energy powerhouse and contribute to national energy transformation.
