  The 2024 Enterprise ESG Sustainability Conference centered on the theme “Focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility, Advancing High-Quality ESG Development.” Experts and industry leaders gathered to discuss the best ESG practices among private enterprises and State-owned Enterprise (SOEs), exploring innovative pathways for companies to integrate high-quality growth with social responsibility in the new era, aimed to support the development of China’s ESG ecosystem and foster a sustainable future. 

  Peng Huagang, President of the China Enterprise Reform and Development Society and former Secretary-General of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) delivered the opening speech. Ye Jundong, Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Banyuetan magazine, provided the conference summary. Representatives from 10 organizations, including CRRC, delivered keynote speeches. Xu Yuchang, a Party member of the Xinhua News Agency, emphasized in his remarks that ESG sustainable development has become a growing consensus among governments, enterprises, investors, and the public. He affirmed Xinhua News Agency’s commitment to supporting corporate ESG efforts by enhancing communication, building professional exchange platforms, and facilitating industrial development.

  At 2024 Enterprise ESG Sustainability Conference, Ma Yunshuang, President of CRRC, delivered a keynote titled “Actively Practicing the Global Development Initiative and Creating ESG Best Practices with CRRC Characteristics,” sharing the company’s innovative approaches to ESG practices.

  Ma highlighted CRRC’s commitment to the Global Development Initiative, emphasizing its goal to become a world-class manufacturer and leader in system solutions. He outlined three focuses: innovation-driven development to advance rail solutions, support China’s transportation sector, and contribute to a modern logistics system; alignment with the "dual carbon" strategy, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2035 and full value chain neutrality by 2050; support for the “Belt and Road” Initiative, striving to “connect the world and benefit humanity” by expanding global presence with high-quality products to enhance global transportation and mobility standards.

  Ma Yunshuang concluded by reaffirming CRRC’s willingness to collaborate with partners across sectors, contributing to the high-quality development of rail transportation and clean energy both in China and globally, in alignment with the Global Development Initiative.

  The event was attended by CRRC headquarters leaders and representatives from its subsidiaries.
