China's first medium-speed high-power ammonia fueled engine independently developed by CRRC Dalian Company has been granted Type Approval Certificate by China Classification Society (CCS). Mr. Zhan Yuzhou, deputy general manager of Industrial Development Division of CRRC Group, and Mr. Zhang Jian, deputy Party secretary/deputy general manager of CRRC Dalian Company, attended the Certificate Award Ceremony.
The Certificate Award Ceremony was held at the 16th China Dalian International Maritime Exhibition. Under the witness of the leaders, guests and the audience, the Dalian Branch of China Classification Society (CCS) issued China's first medium-speed high-power ammonia fueled engine Type Approval Certificate to CRRC Dalian Company.
The first medium-speed high-power ammonia fueled engine will be equipped as the main engine in the first ammonia-powered port operation ship in China, which has industry demonstration significance, provides a new path for promoting the development of the industry to the green and low-carbon direction, will promote the innovation and upgrading of the upstream and downstream industry chain, constantly improve the value creation ability, and further enhance the core competitiveness and industry influence of China's new energy equipment manufacturing industry.
Leaders of COSCO Dalian Shipping Heavy Industry, Dalian Branch of China Classification Society, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and other guests attended the ceremony.
