SDD16 High-Power Diesel Locomotive

SDD16 diesel locomotive exported to Guinea is a kind of high-power mainline passenger and freight locomotive with AC-DC transmission. It is equipped with 16V280ZJA diesel engine, JF204D synchronous main alternator and ZD109E traction motor. It adopts load-bearing fuel tank, the three-axle bogie is 23t. The locomotive has double microcomputer control system and resistance braking device, with the function of self load at full power and double heading in consist. The axle load is 23t.
SDD16 diesel locomotive is developed and manufactured mainly under the consideration of the environment, climate condition and customers’ special requirements of railway transport in Guinea, and given consideration to the running environment in African countries around Guinea. To research the reliability of main components and sub-systems of the locomotive, and complete the protection system of the locomotive, such as adopting AMOT hydrostatic control valve, measures on improving quality of DF8B and adding fire alarm system, etc. The locomotive has the funtion of anti-sand, anti-salt atmosphere, anti-rainstorm, etc.
