DF8BI Diesel Locomotive

DF8BI diesel locomotive is equipped with 16V280ZJA diesel engine, JF204D synchronous main alternator and ZD109E traction motor. UIC standard operator cab and load-bearing fuel tank are adopted. Three-axle bogie with 23 ton axle load. The suspension mode of traction motor adopts nose-suspension with rolling bearing. The locomotive has double microcomputer control system and dynamic braking equipment. It has full-power self-loading and double-heading functions. The JZ-7 air braking is adopted for the locomotive air brake system and allocated as locomotive in consist.
This type of locomotive designed and manufactured in 2008, has already been exported to Iran.
