GKD2 shunting diesel locomotive is developed to meet the requirements of the industrial and mining companies and railway departments for shunting locomotives.
New techniques are adopted: unit brake, new double circular arc sine curve gear fuel pump, positive pressure air ventilation for high and low voltage cabinets and unit brake, etc.
Modern pulse pressure-charging technique is used for the diesel engine, greatly improving the economical efficiency of this locomotive.
New side bearing structure is utilized and the locomotive has good curve negotiation ability. (minimum curvature radius negotiated is 80m)
Specific protective measures are taken for special operation conditions such as rain, high altitude, dust and high temperature; meanwhile, multiple parallel design plans and structure interfaces are reserved, fully considering different operation conditions and requirements of industrial and mining companies, to satisfy customized demand.
