In order to meet the new requirement of China railway diesel locomotive market, the AC-Transmission passenger diesel locomotive with top speed of 160km is a newly researched and developed new-generation quasi high speed locomotive for mainline passenger transport, it is equipped with new R12V280ZJ diesel engine which is energy saving and environment friendly, its bogie adopts wheels of Φ1250mm, axle hung traction motor, wheel disc brake; the locomotive adopts AC transmission and microcomputer control technology, electro-pneumatic brake system; traction and auxiliary transmission adopts IGBT traction invertor integrated with auxiliary traction invertor; it can supply power for trains; its efficiency, reliability, maintainability and emission index are fully superior to the existing mainline passenger diesel locomotive.
