HXD1C, an AC transmission electric locomotive of 7200kw, is a mainline locomotive produced under technology translation from CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co,. Ltd. The locomotive is of Co-Co axle arrangement and of six axles. Rated tractive power at the wheel rim and regenerative braking power are not less than 7200kw; the starting tractive effort when axle load is 25 ton shall be of 570kN; the starting tractive effort when axle load is 23 ton shall be 520kN; maximal testing speed (new wheel) reaches 132 km/h and maximal operation speed reaches 120km/h.
Characteristics of performance: The main tractive circuit adopts IGBT-module four-quadrant rectifier and inverter. The locomotive is of integral load-bearing car body and double driver’s cab. It is capable of triple locomotives multiple-unit control and display through WTB bus. With independent ventilation, the locomotive is equipped with automatic braking, independent braking, emergency braking and train pipe flow monitoring.
