As the AC transmission heavy-haul mainline freight diesel locomotive, DF8CJ can not only meet the requirement of heavy-haul freight transport for 5000t with single engine traction at the maximum speed 90km/h, but also satisfy the demand of fast freight transport with maximum speed 120km/h. The diesel locomotive is developed as the ideal tractive power equipment for the railway freight heavy-haul and fast speed requirements with heavy power, high speed and little maintenance.
